RESPONSIBILITIES: CG Lead

Being only a few months in as a Psyop lead, I got handed the largest project in house at the time. This project had everything; fire, snow, ice, explosions, crowds, magical snowballs, you name it, it had it. Every shot didn't come without a large stack of FX. I was involved in every aspect of the final spot; whether it was building an entirely new stadium, sculpting ice statues, creating a new logo, working with FX to figure out the freeze effect. My job as a lead, was to not only oversee all aspects of the show, but to help set the look, and figure out the project pipeline. The hardest hurdle to overcome, and biggest success of the show, was figuring out a few tricks to speed up render time. With this much ice and snow, we had to be clever about subsurface and transmission sampling.
